espn.com Boycott

I am officially beginning my boycott of ESPN.com. I am sick of their slow website that makes me watch an ad every time I want to see a new page. It will be hard, but there won't really be anything to miss except Bill Simmons. Instead, I will try to rely on cnnsi.com. I challenge you both to do the same.

So let me get this straight: we just hired a defensive coordinator who was 31st in YPG Allowed (ahead of only Detroit) and 29th in PPG Allowed. Then, we hired a guy whose team was 24th in Yards Per Game and 28th in Points Per Game last year as our offensive coordinator. This is going to be awesome.

What if I just set a direct link to Sport's Guys World, and boycotted the main page.

Would that be good enough?

Look at it this way, it's not like the Lions could do any worse....

Haha, again, I like the hires! With Schwartz being a first time head coach (albeit with lots of experience as a coordinator), he is bringing in two guys that are veteran coordinators. Yes, they both had rocky years last year, but throughout their careers they have been well respected coordinators on their respective sides of the ball. Remember, Linehan was touted as one of the great offensive minds (kind of the way Garrett is now) before he got the Ram's job. He just wasn't head coach material. And Cunningham comes from the same defensive mold as Schwartz, so you know they'll be on the same page with things.

I look at it like the Ravens this year. Young and new head coach with experienced coordinators in Rex Ryan and Cam Cameron. Cameron had a terrible year last year, but he is receiving praises this year for the way he called games and managed a less than talented offense led by a rookie QB.

Like Kevin said, you can't do much worse...in fact, who would you have preferred?

And how am I supposed to play my "Beat the Streak" game if I don't go to ESPN.com?

Since you won't go to ESPN.com, check out this link:

This guy, whoever he is, agrees with me.
