Pontiac Grand Prix, 1998 - 2008 RIP

My car officially died yesterday, the sermon was held this morning at the Tuffy Auto Center. Donations can be made in its name to me.

Scratch that - it didn't actually die. It started yesterday morning on my way to work. I noticed it smoked under the hood a little at intersections. On the way home, it continued. Not the kind of thing you can easily ignore. When I took it in this morning, the death sentence was read: broken gasket, cost to replace: $650. So it's last two rides will be back to my apartment and to wherever I take it.

Of course, after I announce I am getting a new car, the current one decides to give out. Why couldn't it last two more weeks?? I feel really bad, but I am going to have to rely on rides from my boss and Stacey for this week and next.

Oh man, that sucks...but I think you had a feeling this day was coming sooner rather than later. It's a good thing you were at least planning on getting something else, and aren't left scrambling to search.

You'll make it for two weeks. I know, I know, car rides with Stacey...is there anything worse =) =) =)???

"To die: to sleep; no more; and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub! For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause."
